About

Hi! The name’s lampposttagger! Well, not really but it’s my pseudonym. Jonny also works.

I’m a digital artist, illustrator, and world-builder with a BSc in Media Design. My creative focus lies in concept and character art, particularly for world-building, games, and tabletop roleplaying (TTRPGs).

Through my experience as a TTRPG Game Master, I’ve developed a deep passion for dark fantasy and cosmic horror, though I also enjoy exploring science fiction, 1980s aesthetics, and historical themes such as the Victorian and Medieval eras.

Alongside my visual art, I have experience in game development and web design. However, my current focus is reconnecting with my creative roots. I’m actively working to expand my portfolio, improve my skills in environmental and concept art, and further develop my abilities in character and 3D design.

All-time favourite games:

Elden Ring and Dark Souls III, Portal 2 and Half-Life 2 feat. their whole setting, the Fallout universe but especially Fallout: New Vegas, and the Tomb Raider franchise. Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Cyberpunk 2077, Mirror’s Edge and the BioShock games are also top tier. And probably many, many more. Oh, and Project Zomboid!

Music of my life:

Anything that goes with a guitar and drums: A bit of metal, a lots of punk rock. And synth wave and general epic or ambience soundtracks of all media.

Most inspiring author(s):

I’m a glutton for fantasy and horror literature, of course. I’m proper obsessed with the narrative and rhetoric style and novels of George R. R. Martins. I never get tired of A Song of Ice and Fire and the Dunk and Egg stories. However, I truly love creeping and lurking cosmic horror.

The best fantasy is written in the language of dreams. It is alive as dreams are alive, more real than real … for a moment at least … that long magic moment before we wake.

– On Fantasy, George R. R. Martin

Why ‘Lampposttagger’?

Well, a pseudonym had just came along during my youth and a high interest in subcultural stickers at lantern posts.

Why Lamppost:’Realms‘?

Of course, due to the essence of escapism and immersion into fictive worlds we love to experience. And games are the pinnacle and fusion of interaction and immersive experience.
